B.N.Talukdar : Head of Director General of Hydrocarbon (DGH)

  1. Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas confirmed the appointment of B.N.Talukdar as the head of Director General of Hydrocarbon (DGH). He is currently serving as the Director for exploration in Oil India Ltd. (OIL).

  3. Indian-American Professor Sanjeev Kulkarni was appointed as the Dean of Princeton University Graduate School. Kulkarni is the author of An Elementary Introduction to Statistical Learning Theory, published in 2011.
  4. Malala Yousafzai was nominated for the World Children’s Prize in Sweden for championing education rights for girls. Other candidates nominated for the year are John Wood from USA and Indira Ranamagar from Nepal. The World Children’s Prize (WCP) is also known as the Children’s Nobel Prize.
